Targeted Programs

Direct Change's African Partners Program funds programs that provide a "direct change" in the lives of orphans and vulnerable children in Africa. Partner organizations sponsor at least one program that directly contributes to increasing the quality of life of these children.

Projects that are funded follow the framework developed by an International collaboration published by UNICEF "for the protection, care and support of orphans and vulnerable children living in a world with HIV and AIDS." Specifically, Direct Change will focus on funding programs that are within the following strategies outlined in that framework:

• Strengthen the capacity of families to protect and care for orphans and vulnerable children providing economic, psychosocial and other support;
• Ensure access for orphans and vulnerable children to essential services, including education, health care, birth registration and others.

Direct Change is currently accepting partners on an invitation-only basis.
