| Organizations, school groups or individuals wishing to sponsor specific projects in Africa can raise funds through creating an online "Fund" and/or organizing an event.
Donations sent or made online to Direct Change are designated to the project(s) selected by the sponsor.
To get started, choose a project to support from the directory. In order to assure that projects supported through Direct Change are effective and fulfill the legal requirements for tax-deductible donations, we can only assist in fundraising for projects listed in the directory. Organizations that run projects in Africa can apply to have those projects added to the directory.
Once you have chosen a project(s) to support, browse the list of events for ideas for your event. To add your own project to our list, please email us your event details. On occasion, Direct Change staff is available to speak at or participate in local events.
After your event, please send donations to Direct Change, PO Box 391731, Cambridge MA, 02139. All donations should be made payable to "Direct Change" and should include a notation of which project they are intended for. Direct Change will issue tax-receipts for each donor that it receives a unique donation from. Ongoing project updates will be sent to any donor or organization that includes an email address with their donation. |
