Many people want to help the situation for African children but are either daunted by the sheer magnitude of the challenge or are cynical about where their contribution will go. Direct Change is designed so that your donations ($50, $100, $500 etc.) can make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
Direct Change makes it easy to help in two ways:

Identifying the most effective charities to implement projects.
As a supporter, you pick the program type and/or country that you want your tax-deductible donation to be spent on. Direct Change identifies partners to carry out the work efficiently while assuring that the donation complies with all Homeland Security and IRS guidelines. 97.2% of each project donation (2.8% is held to pay credit card fees) goes directly to carry out the program work in Africa.

Fund Managers choose projects to support and promote.
Direct Change is designed so that you can harness the power of the Internet and the personal connections you already have. The first step is to create a fund (for help see: Building a Fund). Select the projects you wish to support and draft a compelling appeal that explains why you chose them.
Then raise some real money by promoting your fund to all of your friends, family, and co-workers. Send e-mails, make phone calls, post on your blog – just make sure to tell as many people as you can. Then you can track your progress and see who has donated and how much you have raised.
